Our church's unit of the United Methodist Women is indeed "a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church."  The United Methodist Women provide an outlet for women to channel their involvement in missions both at home and abroad. Through ten circles this a great community of women live out UMW's mission. Organized by age and interest, UMW circles meet regularly and undertake a  wide variety of mission projects. Members also work together for annual fundraising efforts, which include a Craft Show in the fall to support local missions.
