Angel Tree
A Christmas tradition at Fayetteville First is to share love and cheer with the foster children of Fayette county.  Using information provided by the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), members or small groups “adopt” a child or a family of children and purchase clothes and toys from their wish list. Gifts are typically returned labelled but unwrapped to the DFCS office at 905 GA 85 (south of the intersection with Ramah Rd and 92) by the middle of December.  Look for the Angel Tree in the Welcome Center the Sundays before Thanksgiving for more information and to sign up.
Great Day of Service Great Day of Service
This annual church-wide outreach day is a way for our church family to serve Fayette County and the metropolitan Atlanta area through a variety of service projects. From cleaning to sorting, to painting and constructing there is a place for all of us to reach out as we strive to “do all the good we can, by all the means we can, in all the ways we can, in all the places we can, to all the people we can, as long as ever we can.”  Our service day typically begins with breakfast and communion.  Most jobs are completed by early afternoon.  Look for more information and registration materials in the spring.  If you would like to be a member of the Steering Committee, serve as a Team Captain, or have a project idea please contact Tim Aycock, mission chair or Bobby Hamil, GDS chair.
Red Cross Blood Drive
Blood DriveIn January 2015 FFUMC celebrated 15 years of quarterly blood drives. In that time we collected over 5,000 pints of blood and 15,500 units of blood products. We celebrate this life-saving ministry because the shelf life of blood products is limited, and the need for a fresh supply is always critical. In fact, the Atlanta region has to borrow approximately 80,000 pints of blood a year from other areas of the country to meet our needs. The majority of our donations stay here in the local area and will help those in our community who are injured, require surgery, or are undergoing cancer treatments. Every time a person donates, there is the opportunity to help three other people. To register for our next blood drive, please contact Tommy Webb or visit www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation-v6.
Shawl Ministry
This ministry provides knitted or crocheted shawls or lap robes to those in our church and community who are ill or sick at heart.  The group meets monthly on the third Tuesday from 9:30 - 11 a.m. in the library at Azalea Estates.   New members are always welcome.  There is yarn to choose from or you may bring your own. Bring your knitting and crochet needles.  Instructions are provided,  and we have lots of fun. Contact Alicia Yates for more information, 770-460-1870 or alicia.yates@comcast.net. * The group does not meet in June, July and August.
Summer Lunch ProgramSummer Lunch Program
Begun as a small local outreach of this church and a few others, the Summer Lunch Program now partners with Action Ministries and 15 other area churches and agencies to serve approximately 600 lunches each day to children in Fayette County for 9 weeks during the summer.  Our members serve as volunteer drivers, cookie bakers, sandwich makers, and lunch packers. Donations of fresh fruit and carrot sticks are also greatly appreciated.  If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Linda Ladd.
