Ways to Give at FFUMC:
We are called to share through our prayers, presence and gifts. While our prayers and service are so vital to our programs, it is our financial giving that funds the various ministries of the church. Here are some ways to give:
Weekly Offering Envelopes
Offering envelopes are available through the church office. They are issued at the end of each year for the coming year. If you would like weekly offering envelopes, please contact the church office.
EFT
Electronic Funds Transfer is a program that allows you to have your offering to the church taken directly from your checking or savings account and deposited into the church checking account. All you need to do is fill out the form below, include a voided check and return both to the office. The funds will be withdrawn from your account on the day or days that you choose.
Stock
Frequently the church receives donations of stock to fulfill a pledge or for contributions to other projects. By donating stock to the church, the donor is eligible to take a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock at the time of the donation without having to pay capital gains tax on the increase in value of the stock.
If you have the actual stock certificate, it can be endorsed over to the church. If your stock is in a brokerage account, it can be wired into the church’s brokerage account. It is the policy of the church to immediately sell all stock that is given unless otherwise directed by the donor. The proceeds, less the broker’s commission, are then credited to the donor’s record of contributions.
Permanent Endowment Fund
The church has established a permanent endowment fund which will allow donors to have the church remembered in their will. The church will accept bequests which can be designated to a particular fund by the donor. For more information contact the church office.
Any questions concerning your record of contributions or options for giving should be directed to Joyce Mucha.
