2019 Nurture Opportunities

Small Groups

Sundays Sunday school classes offer ongoing opportunities for connection, fellowship and growth for all ages.

Choirs

Participate in music and connect with a like-minded group. Sunday choirs enhance worship at 8:30 and 11. The Seasoned Singers (55+) meet on Tuesdays. Younger singers participate in small groups. Place your voice in the mix! Contact Rick Massengale for more information.

Table Groups

Intentionally go deeper in faith and spiritual transformation through Table Groups, small groups that meet for an hour each week. Become increasingly aware of where and how God is at work in our lives in this shared experience. Groups meet throughout the week; find the one right for you by contacting Rev. Allyson Lawrence.

Table Group offerings:

Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. in Room C-200

Wednesdays, 6 p.m. at Gremlin Growlers

Thursdays, 10 a.m. in Room C-200, Men’s Group

Fridays, 10 a.m. at Gremlin Growlers

Care Ministries

Care for others in our community through flowers, shawls, cards and more. Coordinated by Rev. Allyson Lawrence and led by faithful volunteers, these groups spread love, cheer and hope through important volunteer service. Find out more: email Rev. Lawrence at alawrence@fayettevillefirst.com.

Ancient Meets Contemporary: Spiritual Disciplines

A Sunday morning book study of Brian McLauren’s “Finding Our Way Again.” In the midst of contemporary Christianity, discover the beauty of ancient disciplines and the transformation each can provide at 9:45 a.m. during January and February with facilitator Tim Aycock.  Contact Tim Aycock at timaycock@gmail.com for more information.

Class Meeting

This informational class on Table Groups uses Dr. Kevin Watson’s book “Class Meeting” and Steve Harper’s “Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition” in a study guided by Rev. Michael Phillips. Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m.
