Music & Arts                                                                      Rick Massengale - Organ Concert Listen Now

Each element of our music and worship program is designed to utilize the God-given talents of the people of Fayetteville First UMC. Faithfulness is the cornerstone of any ministry-based effort. Our worship teams are no exception. We are committed to leading our congregation with God-centered, heart-felt, authentic worship experiences. Through the Worship Ministry, people of all ages can find a place of service, by using their talents and abilities to touch the heart of God and point a lost world toward a deeper understanding of Christ.

Early Morning Choir

The Early Morning Choir is a fun and dedicated group that loves to sing. A varied group of adults and youth, we join our voices to sing to the glory of God. This is a great fit for those who can't work a mid-week rehearsal into their schedule but love to sing. Every Sunday this choir enhances the worship at our early service. We practice at 7:50 a.m. on Sunday Morning and then sing at the 8:30 a.m. service.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir assists in leading worship every Sunday morning at the 11 a.m. service in the Sanctuary. Made up of people who love to sing, our choir is one of the best sounding choirs in the area. Entrance into this group is without audition. We welcome anyone with a desire to sing. We rehearse in the Sanctuary Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. and have warm-ups on Sunday morning at 10:30. A nursery is provided for the Wednesday night rehearsal. In addition to the Sunday morning worship, we have two special services a year: at Christmas and Good Friday.

Adult Handbell Choir

The Adult Handbell Choir meets on Tuesday Evening from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. This group is led by Rachel Flowers. This group enhances our worship on select Sunday mornings. This is a very dedicated group that has permanent as well as alternate members.

Sunday Morning Orchestra

With a great mix of young musicians and adults who love to play their instruments, this group adds so much to our morning Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. We have a warm-up and rehearsal at 10:00 on Sunday mornings. If you are a member of a Sunday school class, that's o.k. You can still come after your class and play with the orchestra. Several times a year we will meet during the week to play specials during our services. Also, from the orchestra we have smaller groups that play offertories and accompany the choir. If you are currently in school and need to expand your talent, or you are a musician who is seeking a place to serve and be in ministry, we have a spot for you.

During the Seasons of Advent and Lent we will have special services of worship and fellowship.

Please contact the church office for more information.

Seasoned Singers

We have a great group of older adults that meet weekly on Tuesday at 1:30 pm Room B225 for fun, laughter, singing and fellowship.  Occasionaly they visit nursing homes or assited living facilities to sing and share their joy. They also share their hearts with us in worship and Titus II.  Email Tom Robinson if you would like to find out more.
